A receipt is necessary when a service or good has been paid for and the parent/guardian would like to be reimbursed.
An invoice is necessary when a service or good has not been paid for and the parent/guardian would like the service provider to be reimbursed.
The receipts or invoices that are uploaded in the claim process should contain the following information:
- The name of the service provider
- Complete name and address of person that purchased the service or good
- Where possible, the name of the child should always be included
- The date the service occurred or will occur
- Date ranges are not acceptable
- Effective September 15, 2023, all invoices for tutoring must include specific dates of service on all invoices.
- Effective September 15, 2023, invoicing for tutoring is limited to no more than a month (30 days) in advance.
- Effective January 5, 2024, all invoices for Before- or after-school educational programs must include specific dates of service on all invoices.
- Effective January 5, 2024, invoicing for Before- or after-school educational programs is limited to no more than a month (30 days) in advance.
- The date the good was purchased or invoiced
- Eligible goods may be purchased by homeschool families only
- The date the service was paid for or invoiced
- The total amount paid or invoiced
- A statement attesting that the parent/guardian has reviewed and approved
the invoice being submitted.
